David Gombert
Licensed Massage Therapist
As a Licensed Massage Therapist and former Joffrey Ballet dancer, I bring a unique understanding of the human body, movement, and recovery to every session. My decade performing with the world-renowned Joffrey Ballet gave me firsthand experience with the demands we place on our bodies and the importance of maintaining balance and mobility.
After transitioning from the stage to massage therapy, I’ve had the privilege of working with dancers from companies like Alvin Ailey, Hubbard Street Dance, and Joffrey Ballet, as well as Broadway performers from shows including Hamilton, Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, The Phantom of the Opera, Newsies, Billy Elliot and more. In addition, I've had the incredible honor of providing massage therapy to the dance legend Mikhail Baryshnikov.
Today, I work with clients from all walks of life—whether you’re looking to relieve chronic tension, address a specific issue, or simply relax and recharge. Each session is tailored to your body using an intuitive blend of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage techniques, so you leave feeling restored, balanced, and at your best.
Your body works hard—let me help it feel its best.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time.
Sports Massage is geared toward athletes of every kind. It focuses on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.
